Australian Cypress woodturning blanks inventory and prices!
Australian Cypress is a warm honey-colored wood. Many pieces have a wonderful chatoyance meaning a shimmer or changeable luster when seen from different angles. It contains knots of various sizes which are characteristic of this specie.
Australian Cypress is technically a softwood species but it is harder than Red Oak and very stable. It has a closed tight grain and is very easy to turn and sand.
This tree is a native of Australia and not often found growing here. Buy this turning wood while you can. We have a limited supply.
Our woodturning bowl blanks and spindle blanks are green wood unless otherwise stated. They are sealed in wax to slow or prevent drying.
