Honey Locust Turning WoodHoney Locust turning wood is a beautiful hardwood; the sapwood is a light orange-yellow and the heartwood is a honey brown color with swirls of dark red. It has great wood grain and machines and finishes well. Its properties are similar to red oak. Our woodturning bowl blanks and spindle blanks are green wood unless otherwise stated. They are sealed in wax to slow or prevent drying.
