Wormy Maple Woodturning Blanks Inventory & Pricing!Wormy Maple, this very attractive turning wood may contain ambrosia streaking along with the black outlined worm holes. Many pieces show curl or tiger stripe. The woodturning blanks can have a variety of colors, often with the characteristic dark colored mineral stain of spalted Maple. The beetle or its larva may still be in the wood that you receive. This wood is great for all kinds of woodturning, works well with sharp tools and adheres well with glue.  The beauty of this curly maple is seen in the closed form made by our customer, Neal Wilson. Our woodturning bowl blanks and spindle blanks are green wood unless otherwise stated. They are sealed in wax to slow or prevent drying.
